Warren Central matched Ridgeland hit-for-hit on Thursday. It was in the error column that Ridgeland pulled ahead.

Ridgeland scored four unearned runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to overcome a two-run deficit, then pulled away late to beat Warren Central 7-2. Ridgeland had more errors than WC, 7-3, but the Lady Vikes’ miscues came in more key spots coach Lucy Young said.

“The mistakes (Ridgeland) made didn’t generate any runs. They just put people on base. The ones we gave up were ones where we had things under control and then let it get away from us,” Young said.
