Tim and Carol McRee of Bay Springs announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Carol, to Jeremy Edward Stokes. Mr. Stokes is the son of Bobby and Cathy Stokes of Vicksburg.

Miss McRee is the granddaughter of Cecil and Sally Bennett of Nicholson and the late B.R. McRee of Picayune.

Mr. Stokes is the grandson of Billy and Peggy Stokes, Bonnie Stokes and Joyce Hill, all of Vicksburg, and Norman and Geneva Powell of Bentonia.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Bay Springs High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi in 2004 and a master’s degree in business administration from Mississippi College in 2008.

Miss McRee is a contract specialist intern for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg.

The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of Vicksburg High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in forestry/environmental conservation from Mississippi State University.

Mr. Stokes is an environmental specialist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m. Oct. 17, 2009, at Bay Springs Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the home of the bride’s parents.
