City woman charged with drug possession

A Vicksburg woman was released from the Warren County Jail on bond Tuesday after her arrest earlier in the day on charges of possession of a controlled substance, records showed.

Kati Atkins, 20, 103 Dixie Road, had been held on $5,000 bond.

Ceiling fans and a cell phone were among items reported stolen in Warren County, records showed.

Two ceiling fans valued at $98, another ceiling fan valued at $73 and four light globes valued at $24 were reported missing from a home in the 100 block of Vickie Lane at 3:21 p.m. Monday.

A set of bolt cutters valued at $100 was reported stolen from a pickup in the 100 block of Dusty Road at 1:13 p.m. Tuesday.

A silver Blackberry cell phone valued at $300 was reported stolen from a room at River Region Medical Center, 2100 U.S. 61 North, at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Sound equipment stolen in city

In Vicksburg, a 300-watt amplifier valued at $300 and a JVC dual mode DVD/CD player valued at $600 were reported stolen at 11:06 a.m. Tuesday, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

The theft was reported in the 100 block of Curry Street.
