DELTA CITY — William G. Boykin died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 82.

Mr. Boykin was a lifelong resident of Delta City. He was a retired farmer and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Anguilla.

Survivors include his wife Ann T. Boykin of Delta City; three sons, William F. Boykin, Steven B. Boykin and Thomas Craig Boykin, all of Delta City; a brother, F.R. Boykin of Hollandale; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Anguilla with the Rev. Keith Westbrook officiating. Burial will follow at Vicklan Cemetery in Delta City with Glenwood Funeral Home of Rolling Fork in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be tonight from 5 until 7 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Vicklan Cemetery Fund or First Baptist Church of Anguilla.

Pallbearers will be Bill Boykin, Matt Boykin, Mark Boykin, Scott Boykin, Steven Boykin and Landon Sanders.
