Rudolph Bishop died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Promise Hospital. He was 65.

Mr. Bishop was born in Hollandale to Delia Hardy and Dema Bishop. He was a school teacher and a veteran of the Air Force, serving in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Claudie Bishop of Vicksburg; a sister, Barbara Hudson of Yukon, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Sandra Vancleave of Vicksburg and Rebecca Nichols of San Antonio, Texas; one stepson, Paul Vancleave of San Antonio; and other relatives and friends, including Eugene and Susan Vancleave of Yazoo City.

Services were Friday under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City.
