Jane L. Wendrow

Jane L. Wendrow died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 86.

Mrs. Wendrow was born in Vicksburg. She was the daughter of the late Nathan Laudenheimer Sr. and Lucille Metzger Laudenheimer. She was a graduate of Carr Central High School and attended Louisiana State University. In 2003, she retired as an accountant with Buckner and Buckner Certified Public Accountants.

Mrs. Wendrow was an accomplished bridge player and was a lifelong member of Anshe Chesed Congregation.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Burnell Erwin and Benjamin Wendrow; a longtime friend, Vic Arazny; a sister, Rose Lucille Helveston; and her twin brother, Nathan “Jimmie” Laudenheimer.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janelle E. Schultz and her husband, Jimmie, of Vicksburg and Sandra E. Barnes and her husband, Paul, of Vicksburg; five grandchildren, Katie S. Shows, Amber S. Caruthers, Amanda Barnes, Matt Barnes and Corey Barnes, all of Vicksburg; five great-grandchildren, Barrett, Brady and Bryce Shows, Blake Caruthers and Adyson Barnes, all of Vicksburg; and a niece and four nephews.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Anshe Chesed Cemetery under the direction of Riles Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Matt Barnes, Corey Barnes, David Shows, Adam Caruthers, David Helveston and Daniel Helveston.
