Floyd R. Beasley

SAN DIEGO — Floyd Roland Beasley, 94, son of the late John T. Beasley and Emma Stubbs Beasley, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, in San Diego.
Mr. Beasley was a retired aircraft mechanic. He was married to the late Ruby Roberson Beasley and his second wife, the late Dorothy Haynes Beasley. He was a good man and a Southern gentleman.
Survivors include his son, Robert M. Beasley of San Diego; a daughter, Merry Etta Palmer of San Diego; grandsons, Michael T. Beasley, Hunt F. Palmer Jr. and Trent R. Palmer; granddaughters, Angela C. Culler and Karin Gurule; six great-grandchildren, Austin, Adam, Noah, Kiana, Chance and Aislyn.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Utica Christian Church in Utica. Burial will follow at Utica City Cemetery with Glenwood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the service at the church.
