Somerville, Hamby wed in Vicksburg on Aug. 15

Jeffery Logan Somerville and Elizabeth Newman Hamby were married at 4 p.m. Aug. 15, 2009, at the home of Jim and Eloise Thompson, grandparents of the bride. T.J. Tennison officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Wendy Thompson and Lee and Vicki Newman of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Jim and Eloise Thompson of Vicksburg and the late H.L. and Trelle Newman of Greenville.

The groom is the son of Randy Somerville and the late Donna Somerville of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Dovie Crawford of Utica.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride’s chosen colors were teal and white.

Matron of honor was Bailey Somerville, daughter of the couple. Noah Hamby, son of the bridal couple, served as best man.

The couple will make their home in Vicksburg.

The bride, a 1998 graduate of Vicksburg High School, attended Hinds Community College. She is employed at Bath & Body Works.

The groom, a 1998 graduate of Vicksburg High School, is employed at M-Co.
