Miss Lewis, Branning to recite vows Oct. 17

Ted and Jamie Lewis of Sturgis announce the engagement of their daughter, Jima Morgan, to Jay Douglas Branning of Starkville. Mr. Branning is the son of Doug and Becky Branning of Vicksburg.

Miss Lewis is the granddaughter of Augusta Mae Morgan and the late Sam Pole Morgan of Sturgis; S.E. and Katie O’Brian of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; and the late Benton Young Lewis.

Mr. Branning is the grandson of Charles and Sue Harvey and Jim and Nell Branning, all of Jackson.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Starkville Academy.

She attended Mississippi State University and East Mississippi Community College.

Miss Lewis is employed with 4-County Electric Power Association.

The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Warren Central High School, where he was football equipment manager.

He received a degree in industrial technology from Mississippi State University, where he was football equipment manager.

Mr. Branning is employed in sales with Martin Truck & Tractor Co. in Columbus.

Vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. Oct. 17, 2009, at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church in Sturgis.

A reception will follow at the home of the bride’s parents. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
