Joseph Stephen Miklos died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at Promise Hospital. He was 80.

Mr. Miklos was born along the Czechoslovakia-Hungary border to John and Helen Fic Miklos. He was retired from the U.S. Navy, where he had been an instructor at West Point and was in the Navy Seals program.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church with the Very Rev. John Morris officiating. Fisher Funeral has charge of arrangements.

A gathering of family and friends will follow at Baroudy Hall.
