HERMANVILLE — Mae Eulice Turner died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at Claiborne County Hospital. She was 86.

Mrs. Turner was a member of First Christian Church in Hermanville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Essie Banks; her husband, Charlie Turner Sr.; a daughter, Clara Rose Turner; a son, Ira Turner; one grandson, Robert Turner; six sisters, L.T. Heat, Carrie Banks, Hattie Cole, Pearl Phelps, Martha Banks and Evelyn Lewis; and four brothers, Ellis Banks, Walton Johnson, Ezekiel Banks and Charlie Banks Jr.

She is survived by seven sons, Carl Thompson and Willie Turner, both of Vicksburg, Robert Turner of Hattiesburg, Huron Turner of Port Gibson and Elbert Turner, Albert Turner and Charlie Turner Jr., all of Hermanville; two daughters, Mildred Hedrick of Pattison and Estella McKenzie of Vicksburg; a stepbrother, Keith Beasley of Terry; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Horace McBride officiating. Burial will follow at the Turner Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
