Ella Kent died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 87.

Ms. Kent was a member of Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church. She was a private-duty nurse and had also worked at Anderson-Tully Co.

She is survived by relatives and friends.
