Maisie Ingram, left, and her grandfather Leo Ingram shield themselves from the rain Friday during the first installment of Classics in the Courtyard, a weekly musical and lunch series that’s in its second year at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center. Despite the wet weather, about 100 people came out to watch performers Nicholas and Julia Blake, on stage, and Reed Bishop, and eat food by the Juke Joint Restaurant & Blues exhibit. The series will continue each Friday at noon. Entertainment is free, but lunch is $9. Reservations must be made by 5 p.m. Thursdays. Call 601-636-2997.
