Two named partners in accounting firm

Two accountants have been named associate partners in a Vicksburg firm.
James R. Armstrong of Vicksburg and Nathan Cummins of Clinton oversee accounting, auditing and tax-related contracts with May & Company.
Armstrong, who has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s in taxation from Mississippi State University, joined the firm in 2003. He is treasurer of the Warren County MSU Alumni Association and Utica United Methodist Church, and is education chairman of the donor investments panel of the United Way of West Central Mississippi. Armstrong is a member of Vicksburg Kiwanis Club and Paws Rescue.
Cummins has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s in taxation from MSU, and joined May & Compnay in 2004. He is a donor investments auditor with United Way and a member of the MSU Alumni Association, Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
