VALLEY PARK — Leonard Miller died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at his home in Issaquena County. He was 76.

A Valley Park native, Mr. Miller was a retired farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby Lee Williams Miller; a sister, Willie Dean Wilson; and a brother.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Sledge Miller; four sons, Calvin Miller of Vicksburg and Leonard W. Miller, Billy Ray Miller and Keith Bernard Miller, all of Las Vegas; four daughters, Mary S. Reed of Jackson, Shirley Jean Hogan of Las Vegas and Judy Lynn Awala and Virginia K. Miller, both of Riverdale, Ga.; one sister, Bernice C. Miller of Los Angeles; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
