LORMAN — Anthony Ray Thomas died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was 51.

Mr. Thomas was a member and usher at Jessimine Ridge M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rosie Lee Thomas; a brother, Philander Thomas; and a sister, Anna Wiggins.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Thomas of Lorman; two sons, Marquis Robinson and Anthony Thomas Jr., both of Lorman; one daughter, Ashley Walls of Lorman; four brothers, Ronald Johnson and Lorenzo Thomas, both of Lorman, Elroy Thomas of Vicksburg and Edward Thomas Jr. of Hopewell, Va.; three sisters, Lashonda Thomas of Lorman, Lillie Tubbs of Vicksburg and Tina M. Thomas of Austell, Ga.; four grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives, including Antionette Williams of Fayette.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Magnolia M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Revs. Edward Thomas and James Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at Jessimine Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 today at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
