Henry Joseph Irwin and Delana Rachelle Norris were married at 5 p.m. Sept. 12, 2009, at Solid Rock United Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Billy Talbert officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Samuel “Troy” Norris and Martha Louise Deaton, both of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Claudia Norris of Vicksburg and the late Samuel Norris, the Rev. Robert and Velma Bishop of Eufaula, Ala., and the late J.C. Barnes.

The groom is the son of Diane Klemme and Joseph “Joey” Irwin, both of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Charlene Irwin and the late J.C. Irwin and Sonny and Nona Ford, all of Vicksburg.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride’s chosen colors were sky blue, chocolate and yellow.

Nuptial music was presented by Jennifer Tillotson, organist, and Jackie Sturgis and Steven Kight, soloists. A memorial candle, illuminated by Kimberly W. Head, was lighted in memory of deceased grandparents of the couple.

Maid of honor was Brittany Blackledge of Starkville. Bridesmaid was Caray Norris of Vicksburg.

The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsman was Steven Ford of Vicksburg.

Ushers were A.J. Irwin and Ronnie Weeks, both of Vicksburg.

Flower girl was Cortlyn Norris of Vicksburg. Ring bearer was Glen Deaton of Vicksburg.

Bible bearer was John-Wyatt Massey Ford.

Nasus Robb served as program attendant. Courtney Ford was registry attendant.

A reception followed at the church.

Hostesses were Renae Norris and Diane Bailey.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Cancun, Mexico.

They will make their home in Vicksburg. The bride is self-employed, and the groom is employed with Southern Beverage.

Rehearsal dinner

On the eve of the wedding, Charlene Irwin hosted a semi-formal rehearsal dinner at Solid Rock United Pentecostal fellowship hall.

Showers

Diane and Jerry Bailey, Chris Birdsong and Nasus Robb hosted a honey-do shower at the home of Charlene Irwin.

Bobbie Bezzard, Brittany Blackledge, Caray Norris and Renae Norris hosted a lingerie shower at the home of the bride’s mother.

Renae Norris hosted a favor shower at her home.

The bride was honored with a miscellaneous shower at Ridgeway Baptist Church. Hostesses were Diane Bailey, Sherry Henry, Bobbie Rodgers, Kay Sakulin and Bo Whittenberg.
