PERKINSTON — Weather forced the Hinds-Gulf Coast game to be moved to Sunday, and the Gulf Coast Bulldogs took full advantage of the extra rest, beating the Hinds Eagles, 41-6.
Gulf Coast (7-1, 4-0) was able to take advantage of five Hinds turnovers to earn the victory. Running back Vick Ballard scored twice to push his state leading total to 16 touchdowns on the season.
Hinds (3-5, 1-4) got its only score of the game in the fourth quarter on a 5-yard touchdown pass from Les Lemons of Vicksburg to Treyvias Alexander. The Eagles will return to action against Co-Lin on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Raymond.
