A Vicksburg woman wanted for stabbing a man who had been baby-sitting her daughter Wednesday was arrested by Vicksburg police Friday, Warren County Jail records showed.

LaTonya Oneal, 24, 1405-B Hayes St., was charged with aggravated assault on William Marshall, 29, 1730 Martin Luther King Blvd.

Marshall had been baby-sitting Oneal’s daughter at his home, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said Thursday. When Oneal arrived around 3:30 p.m., she grabbed his wallet, the two fought over it, and Oneal struck Marshall with a baseball bat on the left forearm and hand, Stewart said, and stabbed him with an unknown object.

Marshall suffered a stab wound just below his collarbone and a broken finger on his left hand, Stewart said. He was taken to River Region where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

Oneal was released from jail Friday on $5,000 bond. No details were available.
