Floral industry focus of forum

Mississippi State University, along with Louisiana State University, the University of Arkansas and the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers, will host a regional short course called “Rolling the Dice with Cut Flowers” Nov. 17-18.

The event will be at the Hilton Memphis, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd.

Funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Southern Region Risk Management Education Center, the course will feature topics such as the floral industry’s organic production, successful marketing and accounting, specialty selection and quality maintenance.
