Bennett Dolfis Hardin

Bennett Dolfis Hardin died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, in Vicksburg. He was 101.

Mr. Hardin was born in Montgomery County, Miss., and had lived in Vicksburg with his daughters for the past five years. He was a graduate of Delta State University and of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. He served in the ministry for more than 60 years and had taught English and Spanish for 10 years in Attala County. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ella Hardin; wives, Mary Hardin and Adell Hardin; and six siblings.

Survivors include two daughters, Emily Long and Janie Sanders, both of Vicksburg; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Milligan Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Montgomery County.

Jordan Funeral Home in Koscuisko has charge of arrangements.
