McDaniel, a graduate of St. Aloysius High School and the University of Southern Mississippi, lists her education and familiarity with the workings of the justice court system dating more than 30 years. Her mother, Pauline Sheffield, was justice court judge from 1970 to 1982 when judges were elected from supervisor districts. Currently, Warren County’s justice court judges are elected from three districts.

McDaniel has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from USM, with an emphasis in accounting. She is a bookkeeper in accounts receivable at Sheffield Rentals, run by her parents, Billy and Pauline. Previously, McDaniel worked 13 years for the Mississippi State Tax Commission as an auditor in the Audit and Compliance Division and at Harrah’s Hotel and Casino in Vicksburg as accounts payable coordinator.

A member of Goodrum Baptist Church, McDaniel is married to Rick McDaniel, an officer with the Vicksburg Police Department.
