Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Peagler of Brookhaven, formerly of Vicksburg, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lennye Rebekah, to Mark Eugene Smith Jr. Mr. Smith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Smith Sr. of Brookhaven.

Miss Peagler is the granddaughter of June Leach of Lake, James A. Leach of McCool, and Exo Peagler and the late Troy Peagler of Florence.

Mr. Smith is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eugene Smith Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie Hodges, all of Brookhaven.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Loyd Star High School, Copiah-Lincoln Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in education.

She is employed at Enterprise Attendance Center with the Lincoln County School District.

The prospective groom is a graduate of West Lincoln High School and attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

He is employed at the Adams County Correctional Facility in Natchez.

Vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. Nov. 7, 2009, at Macedonia Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the Family Life Center. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
