Mr. Ehrgott marries Miss Ellis on Sept. 5

Scot Burrell Ehrgott and Anna Karen Ellis were married at 5 p.m. Sept. 5, 2009, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Samsel on the Ross Barnett Reservoir in Brandon. The Rev. Charles Culpepper officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ronald Ellis of Columbia, S.C., and Kathy Ellis of Brandon. She is the granddaughter of Rebecca Hammons of Yazoo City.

The groom is the son of Mrs. John Ehrgott and the late Mr. Ehrgott of Vicksburg.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were chocolate and celadon green.

Nuptial selections were presented on guitar for the ceremony.

Maid of honor was Kenya Trigg of Brandon. Bridesmaids were Charlene Williams and Emily Caraway, both of Jackson; Faith Ashley O’Brien of Natchez; and Francis Davidson of Monroe.

The groom’s brother, John Q. Ehrgott Jr. of Vicksburg, served as best man. Groomsmen were Dave Heard of Vicksburg and Brock White, Jarrett Caraway and Jason Buckley, all of Jackson.

Usher was Layne Logue of Vicksburg.

Flower girls were Sarabeth Hammons of Clinton and Kinsey Bellinger of Hattiesburg. Ring bearer was Justin Ehrgott of Vicksburg.

A reception followed at the Northpointe Barn. Hostesses were Kalie Bellinger of Hattiesburg and Emily Hammons and Kelsy Hammons, both of Clinton.

Guests were entertained with music by The Vamps.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Belize.

They will make their home in Jackson. The bride is a graduate student at Mississippi College, and the groom is director of contracts for the Mississippi Department of Transportation.

Bridesmaids’ luncheon

The bride was honored by her mother and grandmother with a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Que Será Será on the morning of the wedding.

Rehearsal party

The groom’s mother hosted a rehearsal party at the Jackson Street Art Gallery in Jackson.

Announcement party

An announcement party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Chaney. Co-hosts were Jackie Loyacono, Nancy Curtis, Virginia McElwee, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Britt, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Engler, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gorney, Mrs. Buddy Baker and Nell Southall.

Showers

The bride was honored with a miscellaneous shower at the home of Midge Samsel. Hostesses were Billie Thompson, Beverly Newton, Tiffiney Henderson, Stacy Ramsey, Kristin Kerley, Shauna Thompson and Annette Scroggins.

Monika Knepper hosted a miscellaneous shower at her home on the reservoir.

Mr. and Mrs. Jayson Buckley, Brock and D’Anna White, Preston and Charlene Williams and Jarrett and Emily Carraway hosted a couples party.
