LORMAN — Nathan “Ped” Winfield died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind. He was 96.

He was a member of Morning Star M.B. Church.

Mr. Winfield is survived by one son, Nathan Winfield of Akron, Ohio; one daughter, Georgia Ann King of Port Gibson; one sister, Jessie Bell Hall of Omaha, Neb.; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Morning Star M.B. Church in Lorman with the Rev. Larry D. Clark officiating. Burial followed at McCaa Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson.
