Two burglaries reported in Chambers block

Two burglaries were reported in the 1500 block of Chambers Street Friday morning.

At 8:55 a.m., reported missing were an Apple Ipod valued at $100, an Apple laptop computer valued at $1,500 and a 20-inch LCD TV and DVD player valued at $200.

At 10 that night at a house in the same block, a Toshiba laptop computer valued at $1,200 was reported missing. Also Friday, a 40-inch plasma TV valued at $400 was reported missing from a home in the 1900 block of Hope Street at 9:22 a.m.

At 11:41 Saturday night, a Craftsman air compressor valued at $150 was reported missing in the 800 block of Belva Drive. 

Monroe business reports burglary

At 6:45 a.m. Sunday police took a report of a business burglary at Picture Perfect, 1810 Monroe St.

Reported missing was a 32-inch Zenith TV valued at $150, a Colby DVD player valued at $30, a variety of potato chips valued at $7, two bottles of Visions shampoo valued at $8, a bottle of Sills Elements conditioner valued at $7, seven bags of M&Ms candy valued at $4, a blue and white Igloo cooler valued at $25 and a 12-pack of Coca-Cola valued at $6.

Separately, a church in the 800 block of Belva Drive reported a burglary at 11:41 Saturday night, in which a Craftsman air compressor valued at $150 was reported missing. 

4 auto burglaries reported in city

Four auto burglaries were reported during the weekend.

The first was reported at 2:53 p.m. Saturday in the 3500 block of Pemberton Square Boulevard. Reported stolen from a 2007 Ford F-150 truck was a Coach purse and its contents, including $200 in cash.

In the 1700 block of Monroe Street at 6:42 a.m. Sunday, $3 in change was reported missing from a 1999 Mercury Cougar.

About $200 was reported missing from a 1980 Ford Crown Victoria in the 1500 block of Marcus Street at 7:09 a.m. Sunday.

In the county, a .45 caliber Ruger pistol valued at $500 was reported stolen from a 1994 Chevrolet Camaro parked in a driveway in the 100 block of Quinola Lane Friday afternoon.

Richland man held for assault charge

A Richland man was being held in the Warren County Jail without bond this morning after being arrested Sunday by Warren County deputies on an aggravated assault charge.

Thomas McDaniel, 56, 112 Sloan Drive, was jailed just before 4 p.m. Sunday.
