MINNEAPOLIS  — Ruby Lee Gross died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis. She was 93.

A memorial service was Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Morning Star Assembly Church of God with the Rev. Thomas Hartwell officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Mrs. Gross was a 1933 graduate of Magnolia High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Matoline Gross; 11 siblings; a daughter, Bobbett Chambers; and two grandsons, Jimmy Remsey Jr. and Patrick Remsey.

Survivors include six daughters, Carolyn Hall of Arlington, Texas, Sandra Howard and Lura Holt, both of Vicksburg, Denise Holt and Marian Holt, both of Minneapolis, and Barbara Brown; a son, Larry Holt of Tutwiler, Miss.; 36 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends, including Elizabeth Sanders of Vicksburg.
