Johnny B. Crowson

Johnny B. Crowson died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 73.

Mr. Crowson lived in Tallulah for 26 years and had been a Vicksburg resident since 1990. He served in the Navy and retired as a truck driver from Miller’s Transport.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Vickie Jayne Rash.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Hill Crowson of Vicksburg; one son, Jerry Jay Kirkley of Vicksburg; one daughter, Lisa Ann Holt of Lake Providence; two stepsons, Wayne Jones and Terry Jones, both of Vicksburg; a stepdaughter, Reba Moody of Jackson; one granddaughter; and numerous stepgrandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with Julie Orr officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Saturday until the service.
