Michael Earl Jackson died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at Dekalb Medical Center at Hillandale in Lithonia, Ga. He was 39.

Mr. Jackson was a native of Vicksburg, but had lived in Atlanta. He was a member of Stanfield New Life Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Valvoria Jackson of Atlanta; two sons, Eric Barnes of Vicksburg and Josh Bell of Atlanta; his parents, Willie Jackson and Juanita Wyatt, both of Vicksburg; three brothers, Kenneth Fults of Jackson, Ga., Willie Jackson Jr. and Melvin Shawn Jackson, both of Vicksburg; a sister, Tameka Wright of Hattiesburg; maternal grandmother, Doreatha Calvin of Vicksburg; paternal grandmother, Rosie Lee Nash of Vicksburg; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
