I thank Rep. Bennie Thompson for resisting pressure from the insurance lobbyists and voting for affordable health care reform for America.

I believe the passage of this bill will be one of the greatest measures ever undertaken by Congress to date.

I am a product of uncertainty. My health care used to be the best anyone could ask for, provided by GM and Delphi. Need I say more?

Thanks be to God, my circumstances are somewhat better than those of some of my co-workers, yet I have great concern about the fate of our health care and that of my family.
