Meeks, Haden marry at St. Paul Catholic Church on Nov. 14

Ryan Nicholas Meeks and Kelly Marie Haden were married at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14, 2009, at St. Paul Catholic Church. The Revs. P.J. Curley and Donald Francis Derivaux and Monsignors Patrick Farrell and Carl Derivaux Hinrichsen officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Edwin Haden of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Haden and Mrs. John Allen Derivaux and the late Mr. Derivaux, all of Vicksburg.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Earl Meeks of Morton. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Ray Parker of Morton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meeks.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were gold, black and ivory. Flowers were placed in memory of their deceased grandparents.

A program of nuptial music was presented by violin students Brian McHan, Victoria Ross, Marneicha Wilson, Kelsey McMaster and Haley Herrod; members of the Vicksburg String Trio: Dr. Gerald Rankin and Ruthanne          Schnell, violinists, and Darlene Davis, cellist; Karen Harrison, organist; and Elias Arredondo, trumpeter.

Maids of honor were Heidi Ann Haden of Vicksburg and Sarah Margaret May of Chattanooga, Tenn. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Rogillio Ratliff, Janet Elias Rantisi and Lindsey Doyle Bradley, all of Vicksburg; Rebecca Bailess Stewart of Madison; Holly Whitaker Vollor of Fayetteville, N.C.; and Alicia Christine Humble of Charleston, S.C.

Honorary bridesmaids were Jessica Lauren Jones and Valerie Michele Wright, both of Brandon; Emily Hays Lewis of Madison; Lauren Diane Greenlee of Florence; Kyleen Ruth Kilcline of Shreveport, La.; Amanda Gail Watson of Houston, Texas; and Olivia Mitchell Billingsley of Nashville, Tenn.

The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Christopher Ryan Parker, Logan Taylor Parker, Casey Paul Derrick and Kenneth Loyd Gordon III, all of Morton; Michael Brandon Taylor and Michael Christopher Cox, both of Starkville; Joel Dale Nutt and Gregory Todd Butler, both of Jackson; Shelby Louis Ford of Memphis; and Kyle Bradley Gordon of New Orleans.

Flower girls were Mollie Jo Derivaux and Mattie Carlyle Derivaux, cousins of the bride, of Vicksburg. Ring bearer was Tyler James Williams, nephew of the groom, of Morton.

Readers were Caroline Derivaux Kemp of Vicksburg and Jordan Jones Yerger of Dallas, Texas, both cousins of the bride.

Serving as program attendants were Victoria Faith Smith and Kaitlyn Nicole Busby, cousins of the groom, of Morton.

Altar servers were William Carter Kemp and Thomas Wailes Kemp, cousins of the bride, of Vicksburg.

Special wedding assistant was Cynthia Montalbano.

Caroline Derivaux Kemp served as the bride’s proxy.

A reception followed at B’nai B’rith Literary Club. Guest were entertained with music by the Ben Shaw Band.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Antigua.

They will make their home in Brandon where the bride is a loss control/safety consultant at Professional Safety Services. The groom is a landscape designer for Barry Landscape and is the owner of Meeks Landscape LLC.

Luncheon

A bridal luncheon was held at the Bryn Rose Inn on the day of the wedding. Hostesses were Kathy Castellane, Melba Mitchell, Debra Clanton, Jody Brasfield, Joy Wing, Marla Bonelli, Katie Marcus, Gale Waites, Jane Richards and Mary Ellen Flowers.

Rehearsal dinner

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Roca for members of the bridal party and family on the eve of the wedding.

Engagement party

Members of East Morton Baptist Church honored the bridal couple with a shower at the church.

Heidi Haden and Sarah May hosted a lingerie shower for the bride in Nashville.

Kathy Castellane, Cathy Wooten, Joy Wing, Janet Wagner, Nancy Biggers and Rhonda Hendrix honored the bride with a shower at the Wagner home.

Rebecca Bailess Stewart, Jennifer Rogillio Ratliff, Emily Hays Lewis, Kyleen Ruth Kilcline, Jessica Madewell Jones, Holly Whitaker Vollor, Brittany Walker Davis, Janet Elias Rantisi, Alicia Christine Humble, Lindsey Doyle Bradley and Valerie Michele Wright hosted a his-and-hers Halloween shower at the Stewart home in Madison.
