BOLTON — Sherman “Brother” Jenkins Jr. died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at his home. He was 79.

Mr. Jenkins retired as a cab driver from Veterans Cab Company. He was a member of Vicksburg Family Life Cathedral.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman Jenkins Sr. and Gertrude Wallace Jenkins; his wife, Elnora Sanders Jenkins; a daughter, Cornella Buford; and five sisters.

Survivors include a son, Anthony Buford of Vicksburg; three daughters, Cynthia Reed of Rockford, Ill., and Belinda Ross and Debra Ross, both of Omaha, Neb.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
