Burford J. Page Jr.

Burford J. Page Jr. died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. He was 88.

Born in Piedmont, Okla., he was the son of the late Burford Jeakins Page and Nellie Blanche Hidy Page.

Mr. Page was a graduate of Oklahoma City High School and attended Oklahoma A&M College. A resident of Vicksburg since 1974, he retired from Westinghouse-Vicksburg Division as a draftsman in 1981. He was later employed as a draftsman with the Corps of Engineers, during which he was involved in the Cairo Museum Project in the Vicksburg National Military Park. He was a lifetime member of the Good Sam RV Club and a founding member of the Vicksburg Red Carpet Sams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Jean Page.

He is survived by three daughters, Marsha Beard of Winterhaven, Fla., Betsy Wildschuetz of Florissant, Mo., and Anne Page of Vicksburg; two sons, Burford J. Page III of Olive Branch and Christopher Page of Florissant; a sister, Doris P. Allison of Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Burial services will be private. Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday.
