JACKSON — A 2007 recipient of the award for Mississippi’s top college football player is up for the honor again.

Southern Miss senior running back Damion Fletcher was among 10 nominees named Monday for the 2009 Conerly Trophy.

The trophy will be presented Nov. 30 during a ceremony at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum. The other nominees are: quarterback Tim Buckley, Alcorn State; wide receiver Cordario Calvin, Belhaven College; wide receiver Trevar Deed, Delta State; Jackson State defensive back Malcolm Palmer; Millsaps quarterback Chris Graves; quarterback Adam Shaffer, Mississippi College; Mississippi State running back Anthony Dixon; defensive lineman Jared Green, Mississippi Valley State; and running back/wideout Dexter McCluster, Ole Miss.
