One part of a duo, dubbed the smash-and-grab burglars in a string of burglaries in the spring, was returned to Vicksburg from Ohio Friday evening.

Derrick Williams, 31, 902 Blossom Lane, was in the Warren County Jail without bond, Vicksburg police officer Penny Branch said. He was charged with two counts of armed robbery, Branch said, and other charges were pending. Details were unavailable Friday evening.

Williams arrived Friday from Columbus, Ohio, where he and another suspect in the burglaries, Jeremy Mazie, 20, 213 Moonmist Drive, had been arrested Oct. 5 on other charges, but officials later found they were wanted in Vicksburg. Mazie was returned to Vicksburg Nov. 9 and charged with burglaries at Port Mart Texaco, 1775 N. Washington St.; Dollar General, 4000 U.S. 61 South; Jubilee Smoke Break, 4749 U.S. 61 South; and 61 Quick Stop, 5738 U.S. 61 North. He has been in the Warren County Jail, on a $105,000 bond, since.
