PORT GIBSON — Mattie B. Lyons died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 89.

Mrs. Lyons was a member and mother at Second Baptist Church of Port Gibson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lyons; one son, R.C. Trevillion; her parents; and nine sisters.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Jones of Port Gibson; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Mercy Seat Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 today at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
