Mr. Ratliff, Miss Rogillio are wed Oct. 3 at St. Paul Catholic Church

Daniel Thompson Ratliff Jr. and Jennifer Ellen Rogillio were married at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3, 2009, at St. Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Patrick Curley officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Donna Rogillio Allen and David Michael Rogillio, both of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Rogillio and the late Jean Rogillio and Mary Ellen Flowers, all of Vicksburg, and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Flowers of Carlisle.

The groom is the son of Dianna Barrier Ratliff of Montgomery, Ala., and Daniel Thompson Ratliff Sr. of Orange Beach, Ala. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Mac Barrier of Atlanta and Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Ratliff and the late Shirley Ratliff of Birmingham, Ala.

Music for the ceremony was presented by Karen Harrison, organist, and Riley Harper, soloist. Flowers were placed in memory of the couple’s maternal grandmothers; Mr. and Mrs. George E. Bates and Mrs. and Mrs. Reginald Flowers, great-grandparents of the bride; and David Alexander Gamble, godfather of the bride.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were charcoal and ivory.

Maid of honor was Courtney Elizabeth Rogillio, sister of the bride, of Vicksburg.

Bridesmaids were Jordan Bell Amborn, Alexandra Ellen Gamble and Sarah Dayton Gamble, all of Vicksburg; Kelly Marie Haden of Brandon; Emily Hays Lewis of Madison; Kyleen Ruth Kilcline of Shreveport, La.; and Audrey Nelson Jones of Lewisburg, Tenn.

The groom’s father served as best man.

Groomsmen were Jonathan Chandler Ratliff, brother of the groom, of Auburn, Ala.; William Nathan Bender and Robert Landon Bender, both of Orange Beach; Nicholas Blake Mims of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; Caleb Cope of Alexandria, La.; Mathew Carlton Legg of Memphis; Kelly William Sadler of Vicksburg; Benton McLeod Hoover of Yazoo City; Stewart Todd Ellis of Madison; William Sheldon Scarborough of Oxford; and Jacob Pegoda of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Flower girls were Alexis Bates, Sierra Bates and Savannah Bates, all of Kodak, Tenn., and Cameron Rogillio of Madison. Ring bearer was Morgan Anthony Rogillio, brother of the bride, of Vicksburg.

Julie Lynn Mabry and Claire Victoria Gamble, cousins of the bride, served as program attendants.

Jean Marie Mabry, cousin of the bride, served as the bride’s proxy.

A reception followed in the courtyard at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center. Guests were entertained with music by the Patrick Smith Band.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Tahiti and Bora Bora.

They will make their home in Vicksburg. The bride is a customer service representative at Guaranty Bank and Trust Co., and the groom is a deputy with the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.

Brunch

Karen Mabry, Janet Gamble-Dorbeck and Lori Rogillio, aunts of the bride, hosted a champagne brunch on the day of the wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Mabry.

Rehearsal dinner

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a seated rehearsal dinner on the back lawn of Cedar Grove Mansion for members of the wedding party, family and friends.

Champagne toast

The bride was honored with a champagne toast at Magnolia Bluffs. Hostesses were Darlene Hortman, Jane Giffin, Patsy Halford, Patsy Humble, Laurie Malik, Norma Forrest and Jane Hanks.

Engagement party

Mr. and Mrs. Tully Hall honored the couple with an engagement party at The Duff Green Mansion.

Weekend getaways

The bride’s attendants honored her with a weekend getaway and lingerie shower in New Orleans.

The groom was honored by his groomsmen with a weekend getaway in Orange Beach.

Showers

Jordan Amborn, Shannon Bell, Kelly Meeks and Ann Haden honored the bride with a Christmas in July shower at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Amborn.

Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Mullen and Dr. and Mrs. Glen Warren honored the bridal couple with a stock-the-shed shower at The Bois D’Arcs in Edwards.
