Alpha Kappa Alpha

The Vicksburg Mu Xi Omega chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is providing Christmas dinners to Vicksburg and Warren County families in need.

Turkey, side items and dessert will be delivered to families whose heads of household have been unemployed during the past year due to the economy. Delivery will be on Christmas Eve.

3Fold/Make-A-Promise

Vicksburg’s 3Fold Productions, along with the Make-A-Promise Teen Coalition, is hosting a toy drive for the Pearl Street community.

Donors can bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Coalition’s screening of “The Polar Express” at 7 tonight at the Outlets at Vicksburg.

Mississippi Public Broadcasting

Mississippi Public Broadcasting will conduct a 24-hour, online toy drive Monday-Friday and a radio drive Wednesday-Friday to help support the Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign.

The radio drive will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday.
