Alcorn gives coach 3-year extension|College football

LORMAN — Alcorn State has rewarded first-year football coach Earnest Collins with a three-year contract extension. Collins coached the Braves (3-6) to their first three-win season since 2006, finishing with a satisfying 14-7 victory over Jackson State. Collins, who was both a player and assistant coach at Northern Colorado, came to Alcorn from Central Florida in 2008.
