TALKING ROCK, Ga. — Tommy Lester Smith died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, in Cedartown, Ga. He was 55.

Mr. Smith was born and raised in Warren County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Tressie Smith; and a son, Greg Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Smith of Talking Rock; a son, Kevin Smith of Jasper; two daughters, Jessica Carter of Talking Rock and Kim Smith of Cedartown, Ga.; seven brothers; five sisters; and 12 grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday at Cagle Funeral Home in Jasper with the Rev. Von Hinton officiating. Burial followed at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga. with local chapter No. 37 Disabled American Veterans in charge of military graveside services.
