MARLOW, Okla. — Thelma Virginia Jenkins died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, in Marlow, Okla. She was 82.

Mrs. Jenkins was born in Foster, Okla., to J.T. and Elizabeth Pyles Hutcheson. She graduated from Pauls Valley High School and from beauty school.

She was a homemaker and a member of Fifth Street M.B. Church. She had lived in Vicksburg and New Mexico before moving to Marlow 35 years ago.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joe Hutcheson; and five sisters, Bertha Arnn, Edith Henderson, Allie Blundell, Lois Redmon and Tiny Clark.

Survivors include her husband, J.E. “Jeep” Jenkins of Marlow; a son, James Jenkins of Tye, Texas; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fifth Street M.B. Church with the Rev. Todd Brooks and Jerome McCalvin officiating. Burial will follow at Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mickey Blundell, Jerry Blackburn, Johnny Clark, Dale Good-rich, Ricky Freeman and Joe W. Martin Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe W. Martin Sr., Jesse Moore, James Ellington, Carol Henderson and Malcolm Floyd.
