Bribery wins the day

The American College Dictionary defines the word “bribes” in this way: “Any valuable consideration given or promised for corrupt behavior in the performance of official or public duty.”
The leaders or the U.S. Senate and House gave to the American citizens an old-fashioned lesson in the meaning of bribery in their desire to plague America with the health care bill. The citizens of Nebraska and Louisiana should be in total outrage over their senators playing “The Price is Right” with the tax dollars of American citizens.
It’s time for the citizens of the other states of the union to refuse to accept the behavior of those who have the desire to drown our nation in the sea of debt!
A few months ago Mississippians saw some of their fellow citizens sent off to prison for bribery. Shouldn’t this be enforced in the nation’s capital? I believe both Democratic and Republican leaders should be held to the same standard that the average citizen is asked to uphold.
Our elected officials should understand that if they keep playing “The Price is Right” with the taxpayers’ dollars that when election time comes, the game will be changed to “Jeopardy.” We will have the final say.
