NEWELLTON, La. — Rita Faye Hazel Maynard died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at her home in Newellton. She was 55.

Survivors include one son, Darrell “D.J.” Maynard Jr. of Vidalia, La.; one daugher, Miriam Frances “Angel” Maynard of Newellton; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Monday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel in Tallulah with Bess Graham officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 10 a.m. to the hour of service. Burial will be at Legion Cemetery in Newellton.
