Dates have been set for two annual parades that roll in downtown Vicksburg.

The Martin Luther King Jr. parade will be at 3 p.m. Jan. 16. Mayor Paul Winfield will be the Grand Marshal for the parade.

The ninth annual Mardi Gras parade, presented by Vicksburg Main Street, will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 13. Organizers are seeking participants. Call 601-634-4527. T-shirts will be available for purchase by the end of January.

Both parades will start at Belmont Street and roll north along Washington Street.
