Lynda Faye Williams Sykes died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 49.

Ms. Sykes was a 1978 graduate of Vicksburg High School.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Ardelia Mason; grandmother, Carrie Dukes; her parents, Alma Robinson and Elijah Williams; two aunts, Alice Harris and Ardelia Hill; and a sister, Gloria Williams.

Survivors include two sisters, Herdcine Williams and Margaret Williams, both of Vicksburg; five brothers, Leon Williams of Waynesboro, Freddie Williams of Saginaw, Mich., Charles Williams, Cleothia Williams and Michael Robinson, all of Vicksburg.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
