ID petitions available

In the November 2011 elections, Mississippians may have the opportunity to reduce fraud in state and local elections. Petitions are circulating that would require a constitutional amendment be placed on the ballot that, if approved, would require voter ID — photo identification — before a person is allowed to vote. A dedicated group of Tea Party volunteers has already gathered hundreds of signatures, but more are needed.

If you would like to sign the petition, please visit the following establishments where petition forms are waiting: Rowdy’s Family Catfish Shack (Clay Street at Mississippi 27), The Print Shop (3510 Manor Drive), Vicksburg Realty (103 Pear Orchard), Taco Casa (Delchamps Plaza and Pemberton Boulevard), Adolph Rose Antiques (717 Clay St.), Posey’s Barber Shop (3446 Halls Ferry Road), Bill’s Olde Tyme Barber & Style Shop (4407 Halls Ferry Road), Downey’s Barber & Style Shop (2837 Clay St.), and Highway 61N Barber & Style Shop (899 U.S. 61 North).

Questions may be directed to me (601-638-7484) or to David Boone (601-636-5070). Thank you!
