Carl B. Warner Sr. died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah. He was 80.

Mr. Warner was born in Stuart, Miss., to the late Everett A. Warner and Robbie Tharp Warner. He had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 50 years and was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

He is survived by a son, Carl B. Warner Jr. of Vicksburg; one stepdaughter, Donna K. Suarez of Clinton; a sister, Glenda Long of Greenville; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.
