Jacolby “Colby” Rashad Jones died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was 16.

Colby was a student at South Park Elementary and was a member of Greater Mount Zion M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Alice Wallace; his paternal grandparents, John Ella Jones and Bubba Miller; and stepgrandparents, Brenda Wallace and Larry Queen.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Tabitha Jones and Tyrone Wallace, both of Vicksburg; his father, Michael Jones of Vicksburg; two brothers, Demichael J. Jones and Ja-michael Jones, both of Vicksburg; a sister, Crystal Jones of Vicksburg; his maternal grandfather, William Earl Winters of Vicksburg; and other relatives and friends, including Montrell Wallace of Vicksburg.
