CARY — Lydia Ann Berry died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 52.
Mrs. Berry was a childcare provider at Cary Christian Center.
She is survived by her husband, Darnell Berry of Cary; two sons, Sgt. Derrick Davis of Hattiesburg and Seaman Titus Berry of Mayport, Fla.; her father and stepmother, Lawrence and Shelia Harps of Greenville; her mother, Lela Durkin of Rolling Fork; four daughters, Glenda Durkin and Danielle Berry, both of Memphis, Andrea Larry of Rolling Fork and LaShonda Williams of Tunica; brothers, including Michael Sherrod of Chicago and Andra Harps of Jackson; five sisters, Foda Taylor, Gwendolyn Jimmerson and Iris Rodgers, all of Chicago, Barbara Cooks of St. Louis and Margaret Jackson of Greenville; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sonflower Church in Anguilla with Harvest Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Cary Community Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home in Rolling Fork. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Friday at the church.
