On the agenda

Meeting Wednesday, Vicksburg Bridge Commission:

• Received a consent judgment signed by RWB Inc., that acknowledges that RWB is not legally entitled to access land it owns in Madison Parish by crossing adjacent property near the bridge that Warren County owns. Instead, the judgment says, RWB may temporarily cross the property only on terms and conditions set by the county.

• Received RWB’s endorsement of an agreement between the county and a hunting club that uses the EWB’s Madison Parish property. The agreement authorizes the club to cross the county’s property to hunt on RWB’s land, releases the county from liability for incidents arising from the club’s use of the property and reaffirms that the use of county property by RWB and the hunting club “is permissive in nature” and cannot give a right to possess the land.

• Authorized board attorney Robert Bailess to contact ABMB Engineers, Warren County’s engineering firm of record, regarding the cost of a proposed survey of all commission properties in Mississippi.
